Drills

When we have a  fire drill we get in a straight and quit line, then we walk out to the nearest door that leads us outside. We go as far away as possible from the school, we then do attendence,  when we get done with attendence the teacher holds up a green sign. The special teachers come around to check the lines and make sure everything is good. Then they yell "good job guys!" We then go back to our classrooms and go on with our day.

Publishing Memoirs

                                                  Talking to the walls!

Today I'm am going to talk to you about talking to the walls but first I wantyou to realy understand why this might be a good stratigie for you. Here we go have you ever been publishing and you are reading over it and you skip somthing or miss spell somthing and you dont realise it. Well when you talk to your self out loud you can here your self speaking and actualy here your mistakes.

So the day before we published we used this stratigie to help us realy here our self
personly I think that it is a good stratigie to use. Talking to the walls is a great learning habit and somtimes other people read your story and a paragraph might not make since. That tiny mistake can ruin your whole pease. and when you read it in your head you know  what it is realy suposed to say so you read right over it.

But when you are talking to the wall you can here those mistakes!

Moth in Action

(Above Photos by Jackson L.)

Today Mrs.Sims class released a beautiful moth called Polyphemus! Before we released it had to go through a cycle called metamorphasis. The Polyphemus moth spends most of its life as a caterpillar! A cocoon is like a dressing room for the moth, about a month later, it turned into this beautiful moth like we thought it would. First we kept it in a big butterfly inclosure for a day so it would get used to its new body. The next day, (today) we let it go in our school garden with gorgeous flowers. We had a little trouble getting it out of its inclosure, but it finally let Mrs.Sims pick it up, it then fluttered on a flower and looked comfortable. Mrs.Sims class went inside and started learning again.  8)
