In math we used a Virtual Reality App called Aurasma. It lets you hide objects in our "virtual world". So with our normal eyes we only see a computer, with Aurasma, we see a math problem.
In real life there is not a flying car, but in the virtual world of Aurasma there is. |
In the app we did a scavenger hunt where every time we found a clue like the picture above, it would show a math equation or a funny video. We used it to go over our study guide for division.
In this activity we would go into groups of three carrying the iPad for one group, the teacher's phone, and my phone since I had the app.
What the app does is you can make you own a aura. All you have to do is pick a design to go inside your aura. Then, you find a place around the room you want to put it in and post!
Our class agreed to do it again because we had so much fun the first time. It taught us a lot about how to work together. The funny thing is that we all couldn't find one of them which was the teacher! In conclusion, we had a learning experience while still getting to have some fun.
