PARTY TOMORROW

Dear parents,

Our class has colored in our hundreds chart. We color in our hundreds for good behavior. Once we color in all the squares our class earns a party. For this party we have chosen to lay on the floor with blankets instead of desks and bring a brown bag. Mrs. Sims is going to send us home with brown bags to fill with snacks. Although it is a brown bag party, we are not allowed to bring soda, Gatorade, etc... But we can bring water bottles that SEAL COMPLETELY since we will be on the floor and they will likely get knocked over. Our class is also allowed to bring a blanket, beach towel, a pillow or a stuffed animal.

OUR PARTY WILL BE TOMORROW: SEPT. 27TH, 2013

The students are responsible for the items they bring to school. If any item becomes distracting or is out before the party starts it will become Mrs. Sims’s until the end of the day.

We are so proud of our class and all of the hard work we have done this year!

                                                                                  Love,

Anna and Cole

Water Pressure Experiment

Yesterday our class experimented on how the water pressure changes the deeper you go into the ocean

We poked there holes in our milk jugs and covered the holes with tape. Once we took the tape off the milk jugs we found that water will flow farthest from the hole at the bottom.

Water pressure increases as water depth increases.

We also made a huge mess while doing it but it was fun!

Banned Book Week

This week is banned book week. Banned book week is when we talk about books that have been banned from a school/ library. They are banned because someone thinks that they are inappropriate. None of them are banned at our school. I think you be surprised to see what books they are!

The bulletin board designers, who are Jackson and Camrynn, decorated the bulletin boards with caution tape and they cut out some flames finally, they made the poster.

These are some books that were banned.
Mrs.Sims has taken the classes photos for banned books week. She took their photos with books that were banned. Some of these books lots of people have read!

Reading Night

Tuesday was reading night and some of the students in our class participated. For  instance Jayden and Jackson took photos of reading night. Hopefully you can make the next reading night.

                                    Thanks,
                                        Brooke

I wanted to add that Brooke also ran a station and Paige helped with videography. Colin showed up and helped with the book exchange. EVERYONE in our class took a huge part in setting up the book fair. They all volunteered at some point during the week helping load/unload, unpack, set up, and organize the book fair!! I was so proud of their teamwork and leadership while helping Mrs. Fredrick!!
