D.A.R.E

Today we had D.A.R.E. with Officer Chance. It stands for drug abuse resistance education. Tomorrow we have to bring in permission slips. We will have D.A.R.E. once a week. D.A.R.E. is super fun and is a great experience. At the end of D.A.R.E. we will graduate.

Abi the great teacher!

Today our class was learning about how to generate narrative ideas in writing. The teacher had to go talk to another teacher's substitute,so she had to pick a student to finish what we were learning about. The student she picked was me,Abi. While the teacher was helping the sub I got to teach the class on how to list proper ideas for a narrative. While I was writing people were asking questions about what I was writing. I said "stuff that has happened in my lifetime." When the teacher returned they were asking me more questions. Then, the teacher said, "see what narratives will do. That's what good narratives will do, make you want to learn more."She replied. The lesson we learned today was unforgettable. And I found out how fun it is to be a teacher.

Recognizing Leaders who showed the 7 Habits

Lilli made a really proactive choice this week. She put First a Things First by choosing to do her planner rather than go and see her favorite Teacher in the morning. she decided to do the right thing and put first things first. She learned that doing the right thing will always be the best choice in life.

Dawson took responsibility and was honest and went to the teacher when he didn't get his planner signed. He told her that he didn't and he decided that he should pull a strip for it (a strip is a thing where if you do something that was not the best choice you put one in your number pocket) so he did. The teacher didn't even tell him to. He decided to do the right thing and he knew what it was. so he pulled a responsibility strip and he knew that doing the right thing always pays off. Dawson knows what the right thing to do is and he is proactive.

Why writers write class video

Today we made a class video it was about why writers write. And we did a little example called P I E
(Stands for Persuade, Inform, Entertain) We enjoyed being creative.

We made the video as a class and then our class videographer, Dominic, uploaded it and put it on YouTube for us to share to you. It is unlisted, so it can only be seen by people with a link.

Fish

Today I got to clean out Leo's fish tank. Leo came from Mrs.Sims house. Leo is a cute and funny burmerda fish.

Today Jaedha cleaned Cindy's cage. Cindy is very happy now. She cleaned all of her yucky

Bowls out and made sure not to burn herself on the hot light. She got to pet Cindy and clean

Her whole cage. She had a lot of fun with Cindy her cage is clean now!
