Today, we put on a play for a first grade class our play  taught  them about leadership, self  esteem, diversity, teamwork ,consideration, overcoming obstacles .We practiced this play for four days, a half hour a day. We think the 1^st graders liked it!!

Sneak Peak

I normally do not write on the kids blog, but I just need to share!

Here is a Sneak Peak of the the door design the kids have been working on for our whole school competition! I cannot share anymore yet, but I am so impressed with their ideas, teamwork, cooperation, and creativity I wanted to brag! This is only a SMALL taste of what's to come.

REMINDER: Secret Santa Book Exchange

Our Secret Santa book exchange will take place on the 19th of December. Students need to bring a wrapped book before that date!

Snow Hats

 

 

 

Today was our FIRST day of SNOW DAY! Mrs.Sims has a tradition on the first snow of every year she gives everybody a hat to keep warm and wear! Just if your wondering we got guitars or lizards.

Seed sorting

Today we did a seed sorting lab in Science. We first learned about Taxonomy and classification. Taxonomy is what scientists to do sort things into groups. We used classification to sort our beans, some were kidney beans, lima beans, pinto beans, garbonzo beans, and peas. We used this chart to find out wich beans were wich by finding the texture and the color and the shape.

SECRET SANTA

This month our class is going a secret Santa.
We will give books to our classmates and they have to try to figure out who there secret Santa is.  Before giving someone a book we have to fill out clues about ourselves do they can guess.

Clues Include:
Describe yourself using a smilie. A smilie is a sentence using as or like. Others include: describe yourself using a hyperbole and Describe yourself using alliteration. A hyperbole is a major exaggeration. For example, I am on fire!! You are not really on fire,myou are just really hot. Alliteration is a sentence with words that all start the with the same letter. For example: my mom makes many macaroni macaroons.the last clue is to give an  interesting way to describe yourself. Secret Santa will be so much fun to celebrate the holidays!!

Welcome Back!

Hello students/parents just a reminder that fith grade goes to the School of Economics on Wednesday December 4th. Buses leav at 9:00 SHARP! I'd prefer parents to be at S.O.E before the students arrive. I still have a few more reminders, Dare graduation is on December 18th at 2:30 PM. So parents if you want to come be there around that time. Also, on the 20th we will be having our winter party and on the 12th at 7 PM is 5th grade choir show. Now to get to my point.

Impaired Vision Goggles in DARE

 This week in D.A.R.E we used the impaired vision goggles. When you put the goggles on you see two of everything. Are class got to put them on and try to walk on a straight line. We went around the line twice. We had a lot of fun trying to catch the ball, pick up the pencil when we were walking on the line.

Making a video unlisted means that only people who have the link to the video can view it. To share an unlisted video, just share the link with the people who you’d like to have access to it, and they’ll then be able to see it. Unlike private videos, the people you share the video with do not need to have a Google account to see the video, and they can share with more people simply by forwarding the link to them.  Unlisted videos won’t appear in any of YouTube's public spaces, like your channel page or search results.
