Writing Fiction Summarys

Today in reading we learned what is most important to put in a summary. Together we did a summary on Each Kindess by: Jaqualn Woodson. We made sure to provide the information of characters, setting, conflict, main events, solutions, and the theme. Then we went back in and underlined each thing in a different color. We learned that all a summary really needs are those 6 things and not much else. We are going to try to cut out the extra fluff from our readers response letters summary and put on the inportant things.
